I decided to start this up again. I'll be in and out everyday checking up on things but I'm not sure if there will be daily entries. Perhaps.

Sorry about the lack of updates. I missed some big events I wanted to give my view on but the internet has been out in my section of the building for quite awhile. Just got it back yesterday. I'll post something later I"m sure.

No big suprise today. Saddam was sentenced to death as aspected by the Iraqi court. His half brother and one other man are also under a death sentence. Another defendant got life in prison whil a fourth was acquitted due to lack of evidence. No major violence reported yet though a demonstration was held in Saddam's hometown of Tikrrit. We'll see how this goes over. I believe that the defense has 30 days to file the apporpriate motions in the automatic appeal process. That could take several weeks. So Saddam might be executed anywhere between Thanksgiving and New Years though most likely sometime in 2007. Saddam has said that if he was to be executed that he would prefer firing squad but it will likely by death by hanging.
